Install, open the free Demo right away, then activate your license and connect your data key to go live.
1. Open LOF — the Demo feed runs immediately, no key or license needed.
2. Bought a license? Click License (bottom-right) → paste your LOF-… key → Activate. The Real and Live feeds unlock on this device.
3. Click Set API Key and paste your own Databento key to stream real order flow. Right after you activate, LOF offers to download ~2 weeks of history for the selected instrument so the chart opens with depth.
LOF is a new app, so Windows SmartScreen may say the installer “isn’t commonly downloaded.” It’s safe — in your browser’s download menu choose Keep, then if a blue screen appears click More info → Run anyway. You only do this once; the app updates itself after that. macOS builds are Apple-notarized and install with no prompt.
